Julia's Beef Stew
Ingredients:
- 3 carrots, cut up
- 3 potatoes, cut up
- 2 lbs beef chuck or stew meat, cut in 1 1/2" cubes
- 1 cup water or beef stock
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 bay leaf
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 3 onions, quartered
- 1 stalk celery with tops, cut up
- Combine all ingredients in order listed in the crock pot, stirring just enough to mix the spices.
- Place lid on crock pot and set on Low for 10-12 hours, or on High 4-5 hours. Do not remove lid until at least the minimum cook time has expired!
