Sugar Cookies


Ingredients:

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 3/4 c. flour
  • 3 TBS milk
Instructions:
Cream butter and sugar for at least 3 minutes. Meanwhile, combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
Mix in eggs and vanilla with the butter/sugar. Alternately add the remaining dry ingredients with the milk. Chill overnight.
Preheat oven to 400*. Roll dough out in small portions until about 1/8" thick. Cut out shapes and bake 5-6 minutes.
Freeze cookies overnight. Frost frozen cookies with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting.

Yield: about 3 dozen
